Reggae Release Review

This is however, not going to be one that you are used to hearing, or one that I am use to writing about. We are going to have to put our non-English ears into motion and appreciate reggae/dancehall for its diversity, because Kaya Warriors Smokaz Sound - Yard Flame: From Russia 2 Ja is about to take us from the Caribbean to Russia, mixing and blending the dynamics of both.

The first impression you will get from the outset is that the mixtape is fully endorsed by a lot of dancehall heavy weights, with a flurry of sample jingles, endorsing Kaya Warriors & Yaadcore….which sets the agenda of what is to come.

The beats chosen for this compilation are surely on point, with crisp authentic reggae instrumentals and hardcore dancehall baselines. DJ Yaadcore understanding and delivery of dancehall mixes is on full display, holding back no punches.

Assassin – "Party Hard" ft Kaya Warriors remix is a display of the balance fusion that is represented. "Caribbean Love" does what the name of the track suggests; you will fall in love with the authentic reggae feel regardless of language.

The female vocalist of the group delivers beautiful harmonies, creating a union between the other members that gives the Jamaican "Yooow dat bad!" feeling. All and all I would say "Yard Flame: From Russia 2 Ja" s 16 tracks of straight goodness.

My personal favorite tracks is "Vodka Energy", I enjoyed listening to this mixtape and will definitely be on our Reggae Release 2013 play list.
